The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) will prohibit the import and export in and out of the EU of a list of commodities and products if they are not deforestation-free, produced in accordance with the legislation of the country of production, and covered by a due diligence statement.
Failing to comply with these requirements will result in significant penalties and corrective measures in the form of fines (4% of the company’s annual revenue) or product banning, confiscation or recall, in addition to reputational damage.
Following our previous session on the first steps in navigating the EU Deforestation regulation, the upcoming webinar will delve deeper into the regulation’s concrete implementation with a focus on these topics:

Based on our market and client experience, we have determined that European operators and traders need to answer the following questions in order to embark upon an effective compliance journey:
1. How do I know if my company falls within the scope of the EUDR?
2. How should I transform my organisation’s system, tools & procedures to reach compliance, and which functions should be involved?
3. How can I obtain trustworthy value chain data?
4. What technology solution should I opt for to support my compliance journey?
5. How do I meet EUDR obligations during the transition period?
6. How do I manage a complex supply chain with a high risk of mixing?
We know that many impacted companies are not fully aware of their exposure and just getting started on their compliance journey. What we propose is to accompany you on your journey and help you navigate the EUDR regulation through a series of webinars led by expert speakers.
The content of these sessions will be updated according to the European Commission’s progress on the matter and the development of our industry-wide approach to increase effectiveness while reducing the cost of compliance for suppliers and customers.
In our first webinar, we discuss the first steps in approaching the EUDR, focussing on critical questions and challenges our customers face on their road towards compliance.
