Change

The pace of change is accelerating with new technologies, new expectations, new ways of working. But while transformation is speeding up, people’s capacity to absorb it isn’t â€“ making it more critical than ever to lead with resilience.

That’s why many change efforts struggle to gain traction or fail to deliver lasting results. In fact, only 12% of major change programmes produce long-term impact. Employees today are experiencing five times more change than they did just seven years ago – and willingness to support change has dropped from 72% to 42%, according to Harvard Business Review. The result? Fatigue, resistance and missed opportunities.

But there’s good news. People want to grow. In our research, 74% of workers said they’re willing to build new skills when given the opportunity and the right support. What they need is change that feels purposeful, personal and human.

Workers are ready for change. Are you?

Change is everywhere. And employees are feeling it. Our Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey finds that more than half of workers feel there’s too much change happening at once, and 44% don’t understand why things need to change at all. At the same time, workers report increased workloads, uncertainty about job security and pervasive financial struggles.
