Series A of a minority stake of BuildUp to Vanhout
BuildUp is a young, family-backed SME based in Belgium, offering in-depth design, engineering and production expertise in offsite construction with a focus on light steel framing.
The company develops innovative and sustainable solutions in modular construction. Those solutions include tailored digital design, automated prefabrication and assembly on site of structures, new constructions and retrofit renovations. Compared to more traditional prefabricated solutions, BuildUp offers impressive architectural freedom.
A significant increase in awareness around the need for sustainability in the construction sector, combined with an urgent need for innovation in the construction sector creates an important momentum for BuildUp and sparked the eagerness of Vanhout (Besix Group) to join forces with them.
How we helped
Our PwC Venture Deals team supported the client in preparing the fundraising process. We also reached out to our network of potential investors. We supported management in negotiations until the closing of the deal.
The transaction resulted in the injection of fresh growth capital for BuildUp.
