Hackers use various phishing techniques to fraudulently obtain financial information from target companies. One such technique is using the name of one of our legal entities (e.g PwC Bedrijfsrevisoren BV/PwC Réviseurs d'Entreprises SRL) or staff members’ names to make their emails appear authentic.
Don’t get caught out! One of the easiest ways to check the authenticity of an email is to check the domain name in the sender’s email address.
Genuine emails from PwC will have one of the following domain names:
If you receive an email purporting to be from PwC but with a different domain name, it is probably a phishing scam. Send it right away to be.security.support@pwc.com and help keep us all safe!
