Patrick Boone

Patrick Boone is Chairman and Territory Senior Partner of PwC Belgium since July 2024. In this role, he helps set the direction for the firm and likes to look beyond the debate of the day: what do the

numbers really say, what do other countries get right and what can Belgium learn from that?

Patrick Boone his perspective is grounded in 30 years of experience. For the eight years before becoming chairman, he was managing partner for Tax and Legal Services (TLS) and a representative in the PwC Global Transfer Pricing Network. Throughout his career, he has helped clients in Belgium and the United Kingdom navigate their international tax affairs. Work that gave him a front-row view of how businesses grow across borders.

His main areas of interest evolved towards cross-border supply chain discussions and multi-jurisdictional disputes involving European, Asian and American tax authorities. He is the European Tax Lead for major Japanese, European and American accounts and has co-led PwC's European Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolution network.

Patrick worked in PwC's London Transfer Pricing group, gaining experience with transfer pricing and value chain transformation projects across a wide range of sectors. That international experience shapes how he looks at the bigger picture today. Patrick is actively present in various media and public fora. There, he increasingly looks beyond tax alone, towards the economy, growth and the questions that matter for Belgium's future.

His conviction is a hopeful but realistic one: Belgium is doing better than we often think, but plenty can still be better and we should never wait until tomorrow to work on it.
