Abdel is a Director in the Financial Services practice of PwC in Belgium. Abdel is in charge of large transformation projects, induced by strategic decisions, business needs or triggered by Risk, Finance and Regulatory agenda requirements. With more than 20 years experience, he is a recognised expert in leading projects aimed at transforming the organisations, the processes and controls, the systems and the people throughout all phases (strategy, feasibility study, design, setup, Target Operating Model, transition and stabilisation).
Abdel is also leading the Data and Transformation practice in Belgium for FS, where he helped various financial institutions in Belgium and abroad with their data related challenges for compliance reasons and beyond. He has advised clients across the whole data management suite and life cycle (Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Lineages, Data Reporting and Visualisation, etc) and including a.o., the design and implementation of CDO office, the design, the implementation and review of BCBS 239 programmes and related Data management regulations (NBB Circular on DQ - NBB 2017_27).
