Partner, PwC Belgium
Tom Meuleman is a Partner at PwC Belgium in the Financial Services Group. He provides assurance services to a broad range of financial institutions (insurance companies, banks and pension funds). He is also on an ongoing basis involved in Third Party Assurance engagements (ISAE 3402) with a focus on financial services related matters, as eg pension fund administration services.
Tom graduated as Master Applied Economics from the University of Ghent and holds a Master after Master in Tax and Accounting (Vlerick Leuven-Ghent Management School).
He became a qualified public accountant in Belgium (“Bedrijfsrevisor" – “Réviseur d’Entreprises”) in 2001 and has later been accredited by the National Bank of Belgium for the audits of credit institutions and insurance companies, as well as by the Financial Markets and Services Authority for the audits of pension funds.
Tom is currently acting as Vice-President of the Belgian Institute of External Auditors (“Instituut van de Bedrijfsrevisoren” – “Institut des Réviseurs d’Entreprises”), he has been a member of the Institute’s Board since 2010.
Tom specializes in the audit of financial institutions (insurance companies, banks and pension funds). He is currently the Insurance Leader at PwC in Belgium.
