Patrice has more than 20 years of experience in the Financial Services Sector and is mainly focusing on: 

  • Assisting international clients on Belgian domestic tax law, international tax law, EU Law and Case law;
  • Tax and regulatory aspects of banking, insurance investment funds industries;
  • Specializing in tax analysis of specific financial products, including derivatives, structural products and hybrid instruments;
  • Specializing in structured finance transactions and structuring of private equity deals;

Patrice is a frequent speaker at various conferences & forums and is also giving courses at the Solvay Business School (Université Libre de Bruxelles) “International Tax Planning of Companies” and “Corporate income tax”.

Expertise

As a Partner within the Belgian FS corporate tax department, a recognized leading team on the Belgian market, Patrice assists different financial services clients in their diversified tax challenges (e.g. restructuring, structured financing, products, deals), acting as their primary contact. In this respect, Patrice is managing a team of around 40 people fully dedicated to the FS sector.

Law Degree at Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve (in French), Tax Law Degree at VUB (in Dutch), Certified Tax Consultant with the IAB-IEC
