Because we want to promote knowledge of tax law and its issues, we are proud to be part of a tax law centre of excellence, together with the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL).
Because we want to promote knowledge of tax law and its issues, we are proud to be part of a tax law centre of excellence, together with the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL). La Chaire PwC de droit fiscal was created in 2009 and combines academic research and practical expertise with regard to taxation.
Through the organisation of internal and external projects, La Chaire PwC de droit fiscal seeks to reinforce the scientific visibility of the UCL and its partners, both nationally and internationally, in academic and corporate worlds alike.
The Taxation Dialogue seminar cycles organised by La Chaire de droit fiscal and the conferences with which it is associated are fully enshrined within this dynamic. The same is true of the numerous other initiatives that have been implemented by the members of La Chaire PwC de droit fiscal during the last three years.
Our ambition is threefold:
To stimulate research into tax law, with the volition to be part of a national and international network of recognised centres of excellence in the field of taxation. We do that by encouraging doctoral research into tax law and, more widely, by promoting innovative research projects.
To develop the teaching of tax law, in particular by offering the students access, via all of the specialist courses dispensed in the Master’s Degree in Law and the complementary Master’s Degree in Fiscal Law, to the various technical skills relating to the current issues of Belgian and international taxation.
To provide quality training for the civil society players involved in the field of taxation, by proposing suitable initiatives to private and public sector professionals alike.
