It proved valuable for market orientation, strategic reflection, and identifying opportunities for future collaboration.
For me, this is an important event because it brings together a wide range of innovative ideas that are highly relevant to the Belgian Armed Forces Medical Service. It gives me confidence that the sector is ready to address the innovation challenges we face and that the solutions we are looking for are already emerging.
I am really glad that PwC organized this meeting because, from a medical perspective, I see that a great deal of attention is given to ammunition, air, and land systems, while medical systems are often overlooked. I am very grateful for this event because it highlights the medical aspects we could face in wartime.
The innovation tech world is moving so fast that you come to events like this you get to see a breadth of ideas, a breadth of companies. It’s really important for startups to understand the user case so which they want to use their product and speak to people and get feedback.

For First15, participating in PwC's Scale Medical Resilience programme was a very valuable experience. It gave us the opportunity to connect with the right people within the medical and defence sectors and explore real opportunities for our innovation. A great example is the connection PwC helped us establish in Ukraine, which has led to our First15 Tourniquet being evaluated in the field by the National Guard of Ukraine. This shows the real value of the programme: turning meaningful connections into concrete opportunities. PwC's personal and hands-on approach has opened new doors for First15 and helped us take important steps towards international growth and implementation.
The PwC team created a very unique environment mixing insightful masterclasses with connections to potential customers and investors, which culminated at the Innovation Day. Overall, this is a very powerful program that will certainly bear fruit for KatalX well beyond the Innovation Day, through a long term collaboration with PwC itself in both the Defense and Healthcare sectors.
Overall, the program made a very strong impression on us and gave us a real boost to grow faster. We gained valuable connections, useful insights into how defense structures work, and practical knowledge on topics such as export management.
