Acquisition of Lizzi, Bunge Group and Delifrancy by Vandemoortele

Vandemoortele is a leading European food group specialising in high‑quality bakery products, margarines and fats. With a strong heritage and a clear commitment to innovation, Vandemoortele serves retail, food service and industrial customers across multiple markets. 

In 2025, Vandemoortele accelerated its growth journey through a series of targeted, strategic acquisitions. In Italy, the Group strengthened its position with the acquisition of Lizzi, a specialist in premium bakery products. Vandemoortele is also in the process of completing two further significant transactions: the acquisition of Bunge’s European Margarines and Spreads business and Délifrance, a historic French brand specialising in frozen bakery products. 

Together, these acquisitions are transformative for Vandemoortele, positioning the company as a European leader in both the bakery and margarines and spreads segments and expanding its presence across three continents, with combined revenues of approximately €2.4 billion.
