Masterclasses description

GenAI in tax: from intelligence to impact

15-16 October 2026

GenAI is evolving rapidly. The technology is becoming more capable, the investment landscape more intense, and the questions facing organisations more strategic.

Last year’s conversation focused on understanding GenAI and its potential for the tax function. This year, we turn to the next chapter. Expectations are rising, and tax teams need to move from pilots to scaled use cases.

The session will cover the latest evolutions in AI, from geopolitical evolutions over infrastructure investments to token economics discussions. From there on, we will bring the conversation to finance and tax: what developments in AI matter now, where value is emerging, and how GenAI and agentic capabilities may reshape the way tax, finance, transformation and IT teams work together.

Expect a pragmatic and inspiring perspective on how to turn AI potential into sustainable business impact.

Building Tax - and Social Security-Efficient Remuneration Packages in Belgium Practical guidance for employers on optimising remuneration

26-27 November 2026

This masterclass will explore how to design and optimise remuneration packages for employees and key executives in Belgium, with a focus on balancing employer cost efficiency and individual net take-home.

We will look at practical structuring options from a tax, social security and legal perspective, while also taking into account Belgian rules, including ongoing tax reform developments, and international considerations.

Topics will include, among others:

  • Use of personal service companies or self-employed status
  • Alternatives to cash bonuses
  • Flexible remuneration
  • Withholding tax exemptions
  • Mobility budget
  • Comparison of long-term incentive plans
  • Pension arrangements
  • Ways to optimise the remuneration of non-executive directors

The session will be driven by real-life case studies and pragmatic solutions, supported by practical calculations demonstrating the benefits of the various tools covered.

EU VAT

21-22 January 2027

This intensive two-day training delivers a comprehensive and structured overview of EU VAT legislation, from foundational principles to advanced cross-border transactions. Each topic is anchored in real-life, business-relevant scenarios, enabling participants to confidently connect legal provisions with operational practice.

Particular attention is given to the digital transformation of the VAT function: mandatory e-invoicing, VAT determination in ERP systems, and the use of AI and automation in VAT reporting, including the risks and controls involved.

Key focus areas include:

  • Chain supplies and complex goods/services flows

  • Intra-group transactions and multiple VAT registration

  • E-commerce, OSS/IOSS, and digital services

  • Exemptions and VAT deduction methods

  • VAT control frameworks and audit readiness

  • Digitalisation of VAT: the evolving EU e-reporting landscape, e-invoicing, VAT in the ERP, and the use of AI in compliance and reporting

To ensure a strong and common starting point, pre-course video capsules introduce the essentials.

Led by senior VAT specialists, this course is designed for professionals who need more than theoretical knowledge and the ability to apply VAT rules correctly in complex business contexts.

Setting up your activities in Asia from a tax and legal perspective

4-5 February 2027

Business has never been more global. Companies are expanding into new high-growth markets at pace, while enterprises from Asia are making decisive moves into Europe. Against the backdrop of the ongoing international developments, evolving trade policies, and shifting supply chain dynamics, getting your cross-border tax and legal structure right is no longer optional - it is a competitive imperative.

In this masterclass, we bring together leading tax and legal experts from key Asian jurisdictions to explore the opportunities and challenges of doing business across the region.

Whether you are entering India, China, Japan, or other fast-moving markets - or advising a business from these countries setting up in the EU - this session will give you the practical insights you need.

What we will cover:

  • Tax and legal frameworks for market entry across major Asian economies

  • Structuring global supply chains through and with Asian jurisdictions

  • Navigating the impact of the UN and OECD developments;

  • Permanent establishment risks, withholding taxes, and repatriation strategies

  • Regulatory and compliance considerations for foreign investors

What makes this session unique:

We have assembled on-the-ground practitioners from each featured jurisdiction who will share first-hand experience on structuring inbound and outbound investments - combining local expertise with a global perspective.

Whether you are a multinational already active in these markets or exploring the opportunity, this masterclass will equip you with the knowledge to structure with confidence.

Transfer Pricing

25-26 March 2027

Explore the A-Z of recent developments in the transfer pricing landscape and understand how they may impact your business.

This comprehensive Masterclass covers both “hot topics’ you need to know about transfer pricing today as well as some of the core fundamentals. We’ll for example get into the new guidance on intra-group services, IP remuneration structures, intra group financing and the role of AI.

Additionally, explore the link between transfer pricing and indirect taxes, as well as international tax domains. Finally, the masterclass will cover strategies for avoiding and resolving disputes.

Tax Accounting and Pillar II

22-23 April 2027

During this P2 & Tax Accounting masterclass we are building further on the previous masterclasses, exploring the impact and opportunities related to the permanent safe harbours.

There is a deep dive in the deferred tax aspects of this. We will elaborate also on the impact post transitional safe harbours, on compliance for P2, the M&A impact of P2, the relation to tax incentives and the corresponding deferred tax aspects.

The session will start with a more general recap part, enabling people who join for the first to catch up but also to ensure that participants from previous editions don't have an unnecessary duplication with previous editions.

International Trade: impact on the tax function

24-25 May 2027

Geopolitical uncertainty and rising trade tensions are reshaping the world your business operates in, and the tax function can no longer watch from the sidelines.

Customs duties, tariffs and measures enforced at the border don't stand alone: they connect directly to transfer pricing, VAT and the broader tax picture. It's time to break out of the silo.

Together we'll explore how international trade truly affects your role. We start with customs and its interplay with transfer pricing and VAT, then broaden the lens to export controls and sanctions, and look ahead to the future of trade, from CBAM and digitalisation to free trade agreements and supply chain shifts.

Throughout, we'll highlight the growing importance of data in managing it all. To bring the topics to life, we'll work with concrete cases and practical examples.

Beyond the tax return: reimagining corporate income tax compliance

10-11 June 2027

Corporate income tax compliance is becoming more complex, more visible and more scrutinised than ever before. Tax authorities expect greater transparency, stakeholders demand stronger governance, and tax departments continue to face growing compliance obligations with limited resources.

At the same time, the traditional corporate tax process remains heavily dependent on manual activities, fragmented data sources and significant year-end efforts.

This masterclass focuses on the future of the direct tax function. We will explore how leading organisations are redesigning their corporate income tax processes and operating models to improve quality, control and efficiency, while preparing for an increasingly digital and transparent tax environment.

Key topics include:

  • The future of corporate income tax compliance
  • Tax provisioning and tax accounting in the wider direct tax ecosystem
  • Tax governance and tax control frameworks
  • Managing tax controversy, audits and stakeholder expectations
  • Tax data challenges and opportunities
  • Practical applications of AI in direct tax compliance and review processes
  • Building a sustainable direct tax operating model
  • Finding the right balance between in-house teams, co-sourcing and outsourcing

Using practical examples and real-life transformation cases, participants will gain a roadmap for building a future-ready direct tax function that delivers compliance, control and strategic value.
