After a career start as analyst programmer and software engineer, Ingvar joined Price Waterhouse as a financial auditor in 1991 and transferred to the computer audit group in 1992, which later became Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS). In this position he acted as auditor / consultant for the completion of various assignments, mostly in the domain of IT security. Having left us in 1994 to join Euroclear as a systems liaison, he returned as a manager in 1996.
Ingvar managed a variety of clients and consulting as well as audit assignments, specialising in IT services. He became director and helped develop GRMS into our current Advisory practice. In 2005, Ingvar rejoined our audit practice to help lead the Systems & Process Assurance group and was admitted to the partnership in 2006.
Ingvar has a lot of expertise in Third Party Assurance (e.g. ISAE 3402 reports), enterprise / operational risk management, and information security standards and assurance (COBIT, ISO 27001-27002). Industry-wise, his main focus is on Financial Services and Telecommunications.
Through his work for a large diversity of clients in most industries as well as the public sector, Ingvar became a true specialist in internal controls, internal audit and information security. With over 20 years of experience, he has strong insights into organisations' governance, their processes and how they are managed, and he knows what it takes to put theory/strategy into practice and realise project benefits.
