Claire De Lepeleire

Claire De Lepeleire is a VAT Senior Director accredited tax consultant, whose specialism is VAT, both at a Belgian and European level.

Claire advises on the VAT planning opportunities available to multinational companies operating in or looking to enter the Belgian market. Her main clients are in the pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial products areas.  

She has unique experience gained from spending her time partly as a consultant   and partly as the global VAT Director of a Swiss based MNC for several years.

Projects managed by Claire have included:

Structuring projects for international companies such as the implementation of new business models (principal-commissionaire structure, buy-sell structure, shared service centres); cross-border services; the review of the VAT situation of clients and regularization of incorrect transactions; consulting on various operational VAT issues and dealing with tax disputes.

Since a couple of years Claire is co-hosting the EiTG (European Indirect Tax Group).

Said group of international indirect taxations specialists meets 4 times per year. Hereby all aspects of indirect taxations (CJE cases, EC proposals, OECD, working parties on indirect taxation) are discussed.
