Like the talented singers and musicians who will fill our Brussels Experience Centre with the sweet notes of classical music, at PwC, we’re determined to inspire.
On 9 January 2020, we’re hosting our annual PwC Executive New Year’s Concert. This year, we’ll experience the talent of two exceptional Belgian singers together with the Flemish Chamber Philharmonic, conducted by Herman Engels.
Soprano Anneke Luyten and mezzo-soprano Sara Jo Benoot will be in the spotlight.
The Flemish Chamber Philharmonic is a mobile ensemble that performs in both small and large formations, depending partly on the commission and partly on the programme. The ensemble consists exclusively of a select number of outstanding musicians of international renown with substantial experience in orchestral playing and who, in addition to their fondness for orchestral and chamber music, have garnered notable acclaim as soloists.
Thanks to their wealth of experience – frequently gained as a soloists for our Belgian symphony orchestras – and enthusiasm, the orchestra can always be relied upon for fascinating and sophisticated renditions of symphonic works.
The orchestra’s built an outstanding reputation in symphonic and accompanying repertoire under the baton of Herman Engels, its permanent conductor.
Herman Engels is the conductor and artistic director of the Residentieconcerten Heist op den Berg - Herentals series, in which he works almost exclusively with the Flemish Chamber Philharmonic at the Zwanenberg Cultural Centre in Heist op den Berg and the ‘t Schaliken Cultural Centre in Herentals.
