Lieven is Managing Partner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory-practice and leads the Deals practice in Belgium.

Lieven has over 28 years of experience in public accounting/auditing and over the years he has served as a client service partner on the firm’s largest national and international clients, as well publicly as privately owned.  Over the last 15 years, he specialized in deal management, valuation and due diligence services.  He assists clients with domestic as well as cross-border and global transactions, ranging from mergers to acquisitions, scissions, disposals and restructuring.

Lieven advises customers on the full continuum of a deal or transaction process, from strategy, over initial analysis of financial and operational performance, valuation and due diligence, through the assistance in structuring, negotiations and the determination of the final purchase price, to post-merger integration. Lieven is also member of the Territory Leadership Team.

Lieven assisted already several major local and foreign corporate and financial investors with envisaged acquisitions in Belgium, as well in private deals as auction processes and this within several industries.

Focus industries are telecom, media and related industries, automotive, retail, pharmaceutical and people-related service companies.

He has as well experience in services, production as distribution companies.

  • Experience in auditing major multinational companies for group reporting purposes, including reporting under IAS / IFRS framework;
  • Control and advice in respect of consolidated annual accounts;
  • Research into accounting systems and internal control environments, investigations and financial analyses of companies;
  • Participation in a number of special projects, e.g. internal audit projects, transaction dispute analysis engagements, ...
