Herwig OpsomerHerwig Opsomer is a director and certified auditor within PwC bedrijfsrevisoren/réviseurs d'entreprises. He holds a graduate degree in Applied Economics from Sint-Ignatius in Antwerp.
Next to his audit clients, he gives several trainings both within PwC and several other institutions, including IFB, UAMS Antwerp and the accounting association LBC-NVK. His main topics include IAS, accounting and tax law.
Hugo HambursinHugo Hambursin is a senior manager in PwC's Audit department. He has performed several statutory audits and audits of management accounts for consolidation purposes and has a great deal of experience in internal control assessment, both in US Sarbane-Oxley and traditional assignments within the industrial and commercial sectors. Hugo possesses a deep expertise in US and Belgian GAAPs, gained over his 10 years of professional experience.
Kristof De SmedtKristof De Smedt is a senior manager in our International Corporate Treasury, Financial Risk Management and Energy Risk Solutions team. He holds a master's degree in applied economics with a major in accountancy & tax from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Leuven, Belgium). Kristof has a broad knowledge of treasury risks, ranging from small corporates to very large multinationals.
Koen de GraveKoen De Grave is the Tax Accounting Services Leader for PwC Tax in Belgium. He began his career as a full time instructor of economics and accountancy courses and then joined PwC in 1998. He has a broad base of knowledge in both Belgian GAAP and Belgian corporate tax and works extensively in these areas. He has additional specialisation in Tax Accounting in US GAAP (ASC 740) and IFRS (IAS 12). Recently, he gained further international experience in this area on a tour of duty in PwC US's National Tax Accounting Services practice. During his stay in the US, Koen was also one of the six members of the PwC US IFRS Tax Steering Committee.
Koen currently represents the PwC Belgium's Tax department on our Financial Reporting Committee and is also a core team member of the European Tax Accounting Services group. Furthermore, he is an international trainer who regularly gives seminars in the area of tax reporting in both the professional and the academic worlds and has co-authored several articles in the field.

Monique MariaméMonique Mariamé, a senior manager within PwC's Insurance and Benefits Actuarial Services department in Brussels, assists both national and international clients on employee benefits matters. Monique has 13 years of professional experience, 10 years of which has been as a consulting actuary in the field of employee benefits. She is an actuary accredited by the Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission.
Monique assists international clients with their conversion to IFRS/IPSAS accounting related to employee benefits. She also supports audit departments in assessing their level of technical provisions of IORP (Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision) based on Belgian legislation. Additionally, she has been involved in assignments related to the determination of pension cost for Belgian public institutions.
Monique holds Masters' degrees in Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She is member of the IA|BE and is an accredited actuary by the FSMA.
Olivier KaczmarekOlivier Kaczmarek is a senior manager in our International Corporate Treasury, Financial Risk Management and Energy Risk Solutions team. He holds a master's degree in management science from the Solvay Business School, Unversité Libre de Bruxelles, and is a certified financial risk manager. With a background in banking, Olivier has focused on financial and commodity risk management for the last seven years.
Philippe RasquinPhilippe Rasquin, Director, has led the valuations of numerous banking, financial service and industrial sector companies. He has led the preparation or review of numerous PPAs. He has also provided strategic advice to numerous companies in Belgium and abroad, supporting increasing shareholder value.
Today, Philippe is in charge of Valuation and Economics for the Belgian market. He acquired strong experience in valuing and analysing financial, industrial and service activities through the management of and participation in financial operations in the three sectors. Having worked in the industrial sector, banking sector and consultancy, he understands the characteristics and particularities of each of these environments, and is able to analyse a project in light of its strategic, operational and financial characteristics. Philippe is a frequent speaker on valuation and shareholder value/value-based management topics. He holds a degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA).
Sebastian HarushimanaSebastian Harushimana, Senior Manager, has technical expertise in IFRS and US GAAP, notably gained from his role as an IFRS and US GAAP trainer and IFRS lecturer at the University of Liège (HEC-Liège), assisting Patrice Schumesch.
As a Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services Group senior manager at PwC Belgium, Sebastian has gained extensive practical experience in helping international groups with their IFRS conversion projects or providing them with technical IFRS advice. In addition, Sebastian is often consulted by audit engagement teams on complex technical IFRS issues. Sebastian is also an expert in IPSAS, for which he regularly gives international trainings. Mostly recently, he trained representatives of six African countries in Accra, Ghana.
Sebastian is a fellow member of the international accounting body ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the UK), and a member of PwC's Global ACS (Accounting Consulting Services), a network of highly qualified IFRS specialists whose objective is to promote good and consistent interpretation and application of IFRS.

Anton De GreefAnton De Greef is a senior manager within the IPSAS/IFRS Advisory team of PwC in Brussels, dedicated full-time to providing IPSAS and IFRS advice to clients. Anton holds a masters' degrees in Applied Economics from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and in Industrial Engineering from the Hogeschool Gent. He has experience both as an internal and external financial auditor.

Jan De LaetJan De Laet is a director within the IPSAS/IFRS Advisory team of PwC in Brussels.
He is a member of the PwC Global Public Finance & Accounting network, whose objective is to share experiences from IPSAS conversions in various countries. He is fully dedicated to providing IPSAS/IFRS advice to our clients. Jan possesses extensive experience in giving internal and external courses on IPSAS applications and implementation. He spent two years with PwC US, where he provided advice and practical guidance on the different aspects of conversion projects.

Gaëtan SchoonbroodtGaëtan Schoonbroodt is an advisor in PwC Belgium's Systems and Process Assurance group. Gaëtan's expertise resides in IT internal controls reviews and business process controls, focusing on SAP platforms. He has built his professional experience within PwC through several engagements, mainly in SOX and J-SOX environments in the automotive, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. His mixed information technology / business backgrounds allow him to work on multiple types of projects.
Vincent PanisVincent Panis joined PwC Belgium in 2004 and holds a degree in Applied Business Economics and master's in Operations and Technology Management from Ghent University.
In his career, he has gained experience through external and internal audit assignments focusing on business processes and IT. He specialises in internal control attestations and reviews (Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and Japanese SOx) as well as ERP audit and advisory. Vincent is currently working as a manager within the Belgian Risk Assurance Services practice as part of the Systems and Process Assurance (SPA) department. Wim RobijnWim Robijn joined PwC Belgium in 2007 as an assistant in our Systems and Process Assurance practice where he focused mainly on IT General Controls and Computer Assisted Audit Techniques / Business Data Analysis. He then continued his career taking on the role of advisor within the same department and extended his IT and data analysis experience.
Wim has already given several courses on data auditing, both internally (within PwC Belgium and internationally) and externally (e.g. Solvay Business School, Training for Business).
Wim RymenWim Rymen joined PwC Belgium in 2003 and completed an international secondment at PwC Canada in Toronto between 2006 and 2008.
He gained experience in internal controls, both at a business process and IT levels, through external and internal audit assignments, Third Party Assurance (e.g. SAS70), Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and Bill 198 (Canadian SOx) attestations, and related advisory engagements. Furthermore, Wim has been focusing on internal controls in ERP environments, mainly SAP R/3 at process, security and application levels. In this area, Wim has performed and managed multiple reviews, both from audit and advisory perspectives. Finally, he has led the implementation of SAP governance, risk and compliance tools both in Belgium and Canada. He is currently working as a senior manager within the Belgian Risk Assurance Services practice as part of the Systems and Process Assurance (SPA) department.

João Rodrigues FradeJoão Rodrigues Frade is a senior manager in PwC's Technology Consulting practice, focusing on systems interoperability via the use of service-oriented architecture (SOA), cloud technologies and enterprise architecture (EA). Over the last 9 years, João has worked on complex information systems in various sectors: for financial institutions, European institutions and the public sector.

Marion MullerMarion Muller is a senior manager at PwC Advisory in Brussels. She is the lead of Cost Management within our Financial Management and Corporate Reporting group, which offers a variety of services in different domains of finance and accounting.
Before joining PwC, Marion worked for multinationals for over 10 years. As a business consultant she has worked on Oracle Financials and (business) process redesign projects. She has also served as a logistics controller where she managed the Inventory Accounting and Control team and represented the finance function in several logistics optimisation projects. As Finance and Control Manager, she was responsible for all the finance activities of four business units and the liaison with the account managers for the major accounts.
After her studies in Business Economics, she obtained a post-graduate Executive Master of Finance and Control (Registered Controller) at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She is currently completing her Internal Audit Certification (CIA) at the Institute of Internal Auditors. In addition, she has been a registered member of the Nederlands Accounting Instituut since 2007.
Max StahleckerMax Stahlecker is a principal advisor in PwC's Technology Consulting practice, focusing on business IT alignment through enterprise architecture. With 10 years of experience in the IT industry, he has spent the last six years as an IT and enterprise architect. His clients are positioned in various industries, ranging from the financial services sector and logistics to government institutions.
As an enterprise architect, Max builds bridges between business and IT. On assignments, he models enterprise architectures based on business and IT services, performs architecture-based quality assurance activities and trains colleagues in enterprise architecture matters.

Martin BöhmeMartin is a Manager in the Treasury Services practice of PwC Belgium. While Martin has international experience in a variety of financial management areas, his focus is on cash-optimisation projects, covering working-capital cash and liquidity forecasting. For public and private organisations, he has identified and quantified cash opportunities in the order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay processes, and provided implementation assistance.

Anke LutsAnke is a project manager in the ISW Limits support team. Since 2009, she has mainly been involved in the areas of undesirable behaviour, trauma, assertiveness and stress. She gives individual support and coaching sessions as well as group training. In addition, she does scientific research to enhance the activities of ISW Limits. Anke holds a master's degree in clinical psychology from the KU Leuven and a master's certificate in work and organisational psychology.
Tina ScholiersTina is a project manager in the support team at ISW Limits. She is mainly involved in the areas of undesirable behaviour, stress, trauma and assertiveness. She gives individual support and coaching as well as group discussions and training. Tina is also involved in developing e-mental health tools and follows up on contacts and questions that are raised. She holds a master's degree in work and organisational psychology from the VUB.
An ThysAn Thys has worked with ISW Limits as a senior project manager since 2000. She is responsible for the areas of conflict management and undesirable behaviour at work and supports integrated welfare projects. She holds a master's degree in sociology and a master's in family and sexological sciences at the KU Leuven. She also holds a certificate in "social mediation in organisations".
Sofie MertensSofie Mertens has been working with ISW Limits since 2005. In her first few years, she was involved in training, counselling, group intervention and expert support. Since 2011, as a Senior Project Manager, she has been responsible for 'Employee Assistance', including hotlines for employees, individual counselling and coaching programmes, trauma care and dismissal guidance. In addition, she is still active as a trainer and counsellor for various profit and non-profit organisations. Sofie holds a master's degree in Psychology from the KULeuven. She has also followed training to become a Prevention Consultant Level 2 and a Trust Person.
Rosina PirreraRosina Pirrera holds a master's degree in psychology from the UCL. She has enhanced her therapeutic skills by taking a large number of additional courses, such as in psychotherapy, stress and trauma, sophrology and EMDR. She now works as a psychotherapist and specialises in the treatment of stress, burn-out, trauma and conflicts.
Sofie Vuerstaek Sofie Vuerstaek has worked with ISW Limits since 2004. She's a Senior Project Manager and mainly responsible for the areas of coaching, leadership and stress, resilience and health. In the field, she works as a coach, trainer and consultant for both employees and supervisors within various profit and non-profit organisations. She holds a master's degree in psychology from the KULeuven, followed training on communication and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and became a certified coach in 2011.

Dieter is a senior manager and has excellent knowledge at a strategic, tactical and operational level regarding security-related subjects. His main focus lies in performing penetration tests (both external and internal), performing security audits, creating and evaluating security architectures, teaching Hacking Inside Outâ"¢, creating and setting up vulnerability-management frameworks & tools. Dieter is also the team leader of the Technical & Security Risk Management competence centre.
Geert Vandenbranden has extensive experience in ICT and information security-related disciplines at strategic, tactical and technical levels. Ine LejeuneIne Lejeune graduated in law from Ghent University and has a postgraduate in tax law. She is the Global Indirect Taxes Network Leader at PwC, responsible for leading a network of over 2,000 PwC experts based in 150 countries.
She has developed her VAT expertise over a period of 25 years and has led large-scale international projects involving teams in multiple jurisdictions focusing on indirect tax strategies, indirect tax functional effectiveness, business structuring, cost reduction through outsourcing, shared service centres, joint ventures, centralising compliance, e-invoicing and e-archiving and automation using SAP, Oracle and tax engines. Her experience stretches over a number of different industries, including fast-moving consumer products, financial services, infocoms, technology, automotive, logistics, airlines, travel, industrial and pharmaceutical companies and not-for-profit organisations.
She is a recognised Tax Adviser and a member of the Belgian Institute of Accountants and Tax Advisers (Instituut van Accountants en Belastingconsulenten/Institut des Experts-Comptables et des Conseils Fiscaux (IAB/IEC)) and the IFA (the International Fiscal Association).

Geert BogaertGeert Bogaert, a director in PwC's Indirect Tax group, has over 16 years of experience in VAT, 11 of which are with PwC. He is a business VAT and ERP systems expert (mainly SAP and tax engines) and specialises in VAT-related business and process optimisation and integration. Geert has worked for a variety of multinational companies in a wide range of industries (including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, telecom, sports equipment, electronic devices, paper and soft drinks). He is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars (both internally at PwC and externally).
