BRUSSELS, 6 February 2009.

The Belgian public has selected PwC as one of the three most attractive employers in the country, according to the well-known annual survey carried out by Randstad. In addition, PwC is also the winner of a prestigious ‘Globe’ for the category ‘most interesting job content’.

In a brief response, Roger Heijens, Chairman of PwC Belgium, stated: “We are of course extremely happy to be recognised as one of the most attractive employers in Belgium, and are equally delighted with the ‘Globe’ we have received for ‘most interesting job content’.
This is recognition for the efforts we have all made in recent years to offer our people an environment in which they can fully develop as professionals. Together we create a corporate culture and working environment in which mutual respect and interest are core values.
Continuous training is equally important. Daily, on the job and on stimulating projects! Thanks to working together in multidisciplinary groups, under the leadership of more experienced colleagues who place a high value on coaching, we learn continuously from each other. In addition to that, we devote over 50,000 hours annually to both formal technical training and the development of personal skills.
This is the essence of ‘PwC, the one firm for all talented people’ – PwC is a fantastic place to grow and develop. That’s much easier said than done. Which brings me to my second point: the Randstad Award and Globe are wonderful recognition for the efforts made, but there is room for improvement. And that’s a challenge we’re happy to take on.”
