Peter is an audit partner and a member of PwC's Capital Markets Group. He advises companies on switching to US GAAP and IFRS. Peter's also advised companies on raising public debt and on raising equity in the European and US capital markets.

Peter acts as engagement partner in auditing the European operations of several major US public companies. He has recognised expertise in US GAAP and IFRS and has given many internal and external presentations on the subject.

He started his career with PwC in 1993 and became an accredited statutory auditor in 1997.  He was with PwC in the USA between 2000 and 2002. For several years, Peter was Chief Quality Officer for the PwC assurance practice in Belgium. More recently, he took up the role of Human Capital Partner for the Belgian firm.

He regularly teaches at the University of Antwerp and Antwerp Management School (AMS) on IFRS-related topics.

Nancy De Beule is a Tax Director in the PwC Transactions practice.
She has been involved in many major national and international reorganisations, both inbound and outbound, IPOs, post-merger integrations, carve-outs and MBOs.
After graduating in Accountancy, Nancy moved into specialising in tax sciences with a bachelor's from the Fiscale Hogeschool in Brussels and a master's from Solvay Business School of Management (also in Brussels).
Nancy serves on the examining board of the IAB-IEC (i.e. the Belgian institute of accountants and tax consultants). She also lectures on corporate tax in general and tax restructuring at Brussels University (VUB).

Nancy has published a number of books and authored several articles on reorganisations and acquisitions. She also lectures regularly on these topics at external seminars.

David headed up the Operations and Post-Deal Services business within DDV Belgium. He specialised in leading operational due diligence projects (including synergy reviews), and advising clients on planning and executing complex carve-outs and post-merger integration.
Prior to joining PwC, David had 13 years' experience of working for a large manufacturer in the building industry, in which he held several finance and operational roles. He was part of various M&A Integration teams and led a number of PMIs (in Belgium, Germany, the UK, Turkey and the USA) within Operations, Corporate Strategy and Sales. He also headed up the ICT team.

His major achievements include:

• Overall responsibility for the business plan for a large capital increase:
  • including drafting the multi-year plan and full business analysis of the strategic options for the entire group;
  • assisting the CRO & CFO in balancing all the stakeholders and the consulting firms auditing the final defensible business plan.
• Going from being a member of M&A integration teams to PMI lead within Operations, Sales and Corporate Strategy for large acquisitions (approx. €200 million top line).
• Making corporate PMO for strategic projects aligned with the business plan: from facilitating the early strategic meetings to drafting and adding content to projects and assisting with implementation. This required transformation from a family-style managed business to a professional multinational.

Michael leads our Benelux Business Restructuring Services. He has 20 years of experience in transactions and restructuring operations: proposing debt and/or equity solutions, preparing and reviewing strategic, operational and financial aspects of corporate business plans, refinancing, managing turnarounds, initiating transactions, and managing projects for complex transactions and reorganisations, in continental Europe as well as in the UK.

Michael has a Law degree from the University of Antwerp. He also holds a Diplôme en Administration des Entreprises (Université Catholique de Louvain, Louvain-La-Neuve) and a Master's degree of Business Administration from Suffolk University, Boston.

Jan is a Tax Partner leading the PwC Transactions Practice. He has specialised in all aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions, reorganisations and cross-border structuring of acquisitions, including designing and implementing international tax planning strategies and providing tax advice on the operational aspects of businesses.

Jan holds a Law degree from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, a Master of Law degree (LLM) from Georgetown University, USA, and a Postgraduate degree in Fiscal Law from the Ecole supérieure des Sciences fiscales in Brussels. 

He is author of several articles on transactions and a regular guest speaker and lecturer at several universities and conferences.
