In today’s digitised economy, IT and its role within the business is a given that is ever growing in terms of importance and complexity. Studies show that IT is expected to ease, and even enhance, how organisations take decisions and ultimately deliver products and services: its mission within the organisation is gradually changing from support to advancement. Businesses can choose either to ignore it, or to use it to their advantage.

The professionals in our Business Enablement team combine requisite business expertise with IT knowledge in order take up an ideal position alongside the business. We assist in providing a bridge between business and ICT, acting as a lynchpin between the two worlds. In this context, we work with our clients’ businesspeople in guiding them through typical business & IT alignment challenges. Within Business Enablement, we specifically focus on:

  • assistance in building and validating business cases. They are clearly business-driven and express clear expectations, take business benefits and cost into account and lay down a roadmap for realising the benefits identified
  • assistance in the selection process for new technology or new partners to integrate identified business needs. As independent advisers, we can apply expertise in defining a reasoned, unbiased selection decision
  • contributing to developing new business target operating models (TOMs) supported by ICT products and services (i.e. using Enterprise Architecture as a reference)
  • providing an independent project and quality assurance view on larger-scale implementations. We monitor a project’s progress and evaluate the quality of the deliverables produced, taking the expectations and benefits defined in the business case into account
  • guidance in the change management process. Introducing new technologies often requires users to change how they work. We help you anticipate the typical ‘cold feet’ sensation and ensure that users are ready and keen to adopt new technologies to further enhance their business activities

  • helping the client in setting up a business driven user acceptance test plan and execute it
