Welcome to the first edition of PwC's Euro-India Business Group ('EIBG') newsletter on European investment into India! Through this newsletter, we aim to provide you up to date information on opportunities for investment in India. We hope you will find this, and future editions, relevant and informative.

India is a land of opportunity and it is currently going through a sea of changes. There have been many developments with respect to doing business in India including the recent Union Budget and the new Direct Taxes Code, our featured articles in this edition. The introduction of Goods and Services Tax and changes to IFRS rules, both of which will be featured in more detail in future editions as a number of important changes are expected.
