Alexis Van Bavel

Alexis is a Qualified Statutory Auditor (Réviseur d’Entreprises), member of the Belgian Institute of Registered Auditors.

Alexis advises companies on complex accounting matters, being in Belgian GAAP (including taxes), IFRS and consolidation. He also provides assistance for the evaluation of companies’ administrative and internal control procedures and advice as to the optimization of their efficiency.

Alexis is speaker on several PwC seminars on corporate and financial reporting, and issued PwC publications on best practices and requirements on corporate governance and corporate reporting. In that context, he is assisting audit committees on those developments.

At the Solvay Business School, Alexis is lecturer at the Master in Tax Management (accounting section). He is also co-author (Belgian Gaap and IFRS matters) on “Aspects fiscaux de la comptabilité et techniques de la déclaration fiscale”, Larcier 2022.

Alexis is member of the Board of the Belgian Institute of Registered Auditors.

Experience

Since more than 20 years Alexis is serving a variety of local and international clients in a broad range of industries including retail; consumer goods; real estate; transport & logistics; pharmaceutical; chemical; media & communication; or private equity. His clients range from public listed local private business and subsidiaries of large overseas conglomerates for the audit of financial statements in IFRS; US GAAP and Belgian GAAP.
