Ine Lejeune, Taxman of the Year

Ine Lejeune, PwC Partner and Global Indirect Taxes Network Leader, won the prestigious Taxman of the Year award in 2009 for her majors contributions to the field of tax.

Ine Lejeune is responsible worldwide for the PwC Indirect Taxes Network (covering VAT, customs, excise and other indirect taxes). She has made great strides in promoting the introduction of VAT grouping, which allows companies to pay VAT only once and avoid duplication of costs. VAT grouping enhances companies’ competitive position, while making Belgium as a whole more attractive to domestic entrepreneurs and foreign investors. It also allows tax authorities to invoke joint and separate liabilities, and employ a larger array of controls.
